The meaning behind Juniper…

The name Juniper wasn’t chosen lightly. It reflects both who we are and what we believe in. In the natural world, the juniper tree is evergreen—resilient, adaptable, and quietly enduring. It grows in some of the earth’s harshest climates, anchoring into rocky soil, thriving through drought, wind, and change. Its strength is subtle but unwavering—just like the kind of beauty and wellness we seek to cultivate in our clients.

Historically, juniper has been used for centuries in healing rituals and herbal medicine. Known for its purifying properties, it was burned to cleanse spaces, brewed to treat the body, and carried to protect the spirit. It is a symbol of protection, rejuvenation, and inner balance—an embodiment of the idea that healing and strength come from within. At Juniper Medspa, this symbolism runs deep. The name serves as a daily reminder that real beauty isn’t artificial. It’s not built on trends or illusions. It’s uncovered, supported, and allowed to flourish naturally.

We chose Juniper because it evokes grounded elegance—an aesthetic that aligns with the way we approach our treatments and client relationships. There is nothing forced or superficial in what we do. Whether we’re restoring collagen, supporting hormonal balance, or refining features with injectables, our intention is always to reveal, not reinvent.

Juniper is also a nod to our environment—rooted here on the shores of Geneva Lake, where nature and community intertwine. Our clients come to us looking for more than cosmetic change. They come for connection, confidence, and care that respects the whole person. In everything we offer, from functional wellness to advanced aesthetics, we reflect the lessons of the tree we’re named after: stay grounded, grow with intention, and trust the process of becoming.

The story behind Juniper…

Juniper Medspa was born from the vision of Eileen Fleer, a pioneer in the field of medical aesthetics with over two decades of experience leading one of the most respected medspas in Illinois. After years of operating successful clinics and guiding patients toward elevated skin health and confidence, Eileen felt a pull to return to her roots—both personally and professionally.

In 2020, she set out to bring a boutique version of her expertise to her home community on the shores of Geneva Lake. What began as a small, intentionally curated aesthetic studio quickly evolved into something more. Fueled by a deep desire to offer comprehensive, lasting wellness—not just surface-level results—Eileen immersed herself in the study of functional medicine, hormonal balance, and the biochemical roots of health. That journey has shaped Juniper into a medspa unlike any other.

Today, Juniper Medspa blends cutting-edge aesthetic care with a growing suite of functional wellness offerings. Our services are rooted in the belief that true beauty is an outward expression of internal harmony. Whether supporting collagen production with regenerative therapies, restoring energy through personalized IV treatments, or helping clients feel at home in their skin with artfully delivered injectables—our team approaches each individual holistically, respectfully, and with the highest standard of care.

Our practice philosophy is grounded in natural enhancement, integrative thinking, and a deep reverence for the body’s innate intelligence. The Team Behind Juniper

  • Eileen Fleer, APNP-C

    Eileen is the Managing Director of Juniper Medspa. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Madison and her Masters of Science degree from Walden University. She is currently licensed in Wisconsin and Illinois.

    As an active member of the American Medspa Association, International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses and Age Management Medicine Group, as well as the Institute for Functional Medicine. Eileen’s dedication to the medical spa and functional health industries spans 20+ years as an advanced certified injector, and aesthetic nurse practitioner.

  • Kristen Griffen, RN

    Kristen started her career path by graduating from MATC in Madison while serving as a firefighter in Mount Horeb. Her first role was as a civilian firefighter with the U.S. Air Force. Driven by her passion for the medical field, Kristen pursued her RN at Bryant and Stratton College and went on to work primarily in the emergency room, with experience in labor & delivery and the operating room.

    She then decided to take her passion for patient care to the next level by becoming an Aesthetic Nurse Injector. She completed her certification at The Confidence Bar in Chicago and is now dedicated to helping people look and feel their absolute best as a partner in in their journey to wellness.

  • Jaclyn Fowler

    Originally from Hinsdale, Illinois, Jaclyn graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in Business Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Sociology. Passionate about holistic wellness and integrative care, she is currently applying to nursing school with the goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Jaclyn is deeply rooted in the Lake Geneva community, where she enjoys painting and spending time on the water. Her approachable energy and growing knowledge of functional medicine make her a valuable part of the Juniper team.

Amanda Reiswig, MD

Amanda is the Medical Director of Juniper Medspa. She first studied Bioengineering involving cell growth and laser surgery at the University of California San Diego. Amanda would later earn a degree in medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and complete her residency at MCW’s Froedtert Hospital. 

Dr. Reiswig was also a Fellow in the University of South Florida’s Aesthetic Medicine Fellowship Program.

She is passionate about an individual’s wellness and confidence and thus is happy to support Eileen, Kristen and the rest of our team in bringing the highest level of care to our community
